crank /kræŋk/[n]:
1) a person with ideas that other people find strange 風変わりな人
e.g. Vegitarians are no longer called cranks, but frutalians might be...
2) (AmE) a person who easily gets angry or annoyed; a bad tempered person 気難しい人


pedagogue /ˈpedəɡɒɡ/[n]: teacher; a person who likes to teach people things, especially because they think they know more than other people 教師
e.g. Some language used by students in class nowadays would have been considered objectionable by pedagogues fifty years ago.


enunciate/ɪˈnʌnsieɪt/[v]:
1) to say/pronunce words clearly 明瞭に発音する
2) to express an idea clearly and exactly 言明する
e.g. Eva Kor, one of the Auschwitz survivors, enunciates how empowering forgiving Nazi has been to her.


inordinate /ɪnˈɔːdɪnət/[adj]: excessive 過度の、法外な
e.g. They spent an inordinate amount of time and money on the production.

irascible /ɪˈræsəbl/[adj]: becoming very angry easily 短気な
e.g. The previous chancellor of exchecker was infamous for his irascible personality.
